In Memory of Freda Boyd


Freda L. Boyd, 75, passed away peacefully
Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at a Bangor hospital, with her family by her side. She
was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Little Ridge, New Brunswick, the daughter of Harold
and Louise (Scullin) Madsen. Freda grew up in Little Ridge and attended schools
in St. Stephen, N.B. She was married to Earl W. Boyd in St. Stephen in August of
1948. Freda was a quiet, graceful woman who dedicated her life to her family.
Freda was also an acitve member of the Northern Timber Cruisers Snowmobile Club.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Earl W. Boyd of Millinocket; five
children, Linda and husband, Bruce MacDonald, of Millinocket, Sandra Kelley of
North Berwick, Nancy and husband, Bill Bears, of Millinocket, Jeff and wife,
Elaine Boyd, of Rochester, N.H., and Karen and husband, Leo Perreault, of
Epping, N.H.; nine grandchildren, Skye and Scott MacDonald, Andrea and Aaron
Kelley, Joshua, Jared and Nathan Bears, and Michael and William Boyd; two
brothers, Murray and wife, Betty Madsen, Harold and Anne Madsen; two sisters,
Bea Rockburn and Eleanor Blair. She also leaves many special nieces and nephews,
and a very special pet, Pebbles.
