Four of us (3 Yamahas and we did let one Polaris come along) trying to find our way into Katahdin Lake. With the massive amont of new logging roads built into this country the challenge was to find our way in without traveling any plowed roads. There were no specific trails leading into the lake and it was a bushwack the entire way.

Leaving Katahdin Lake. This area used to be a small tote road and has now become a major woods road that circles in back of the katahdin Lake Camps. It was difficult traveling here to stay off the plowed road.

Leaving Balm of Gilliard Pond to travel to the old Sandy Stream Road. We came onto a newly graveled woods road in progress. It is unknown why this road is being built in this area as there is not much of anything left to cut.

End of the day. Polaris has had enough. Good thing it was a triple. Managed to get home on 2 cylinders.
